Hardware - Clikz Computer Center
of Somers Point uses premium 3rd party hardware components
in the construction of our custom systems. Clikz does
NOT offer hardware warranties. We merely act as an
agent on your behalf to minimize inconveniences caused
by hardware failures. Most hardware warranties run
from 1 to 2 years directly from the manufacturer. Typically,
hardware failure requires the customer to contact the
company, pay for a replacement part, wait for the new
part to be shipped, return the defective part, then
receive a refund once the defective part is received.
This process can be long and frustrating. Instead,
Clikz will replace any failed hardware under warranty,
immediately, with comparable components. You DO NOT
wait for replacements from the manufacturer – we will
recover the hardware to replace the part(s) we provided
to you at the time of failure. Any labor charges for
installation and set-up are waived. You pay nothing.
EXCLUSIONS: Data recovery and program installation
on failed hard drives is NOT covered. It is the responsibility
of computer owners to maintain current data backup.
Clikz will transfer the current backup if it is available
for no charge. If such backup is not available, the
customer is responsible for any charges related to
the recovery and transfer of data to a new hard drive
(if such recovery is possible).
Software, Virus, Pop-Ups, Spyware – Clikz will perform
Virus Removal, Spyware Removal, Pop-up removal, and
perform standard computer maintenance for a period
of 3 years on ALL of our Premium Custom Systems. This
service is designed to keep your computer running at
optimum performance for the entire 3 year period. Extended
contracts are available upon request. CONDITIONS: It
is the responsibility of the customer to maintain current
anti-virus definitions and run appropriate software
to help minimize the occurrence of these events. The
Clikz staff will thoroughly educate you in this area.
Continual failure to adhere to the recommendations
of the Clikz technical staff may result in the eventual
cancellation of this warranty. Anti-virus subscriptions
and anti-spyware programs often have annual charges
associated with them from the manufacturer. It is the
responsibility of the customer to maintain these subscriptions.
There are certain software programs, services, websites,
etc that are well-known sources of infection. Clikz
maintains a “Banned List” which can be found at www.clikzcomputercenter.com/bannedlist.htm .
Installation or use of any of these programs / services
/ websites VOIDS all obligation on the part of Clikz
Computer Center . In short, we need you to help us – help
you.
Business / Commercial Use
The above warranty applies to commercial and business
use so long as Clikz Computer Center is the contracted
tech support company for your business network. Clikz
cannot support our systems and keep them free of viruses,
pop-ups, etc - if it is exposed to substandard network
level protection. In order to ensure this level of
protection, Clikz MUST administer the network. There
are situations where Clikz will come in and CERTIFY
a network as “Device Safe” without the requirement
of actually managing the network. If this is a more
